2015

The 10th annual Can't Stop the Serenity here in Raleigh NC raised a total of $6,500 in 2015! As in years past, this amount is split between Equality Now (75% - $4,875) and Kids Need to Read (25% - $1,625).

The event was held Sunday July 19 at Raleighwood Cinema Grill with a raffle and costume contest before showing our Big Damn Movie Serenity! Doors opened at 6:00 so we could enjoy food and drink with our fellow Browncoats. Movie started at 8:00 p.m. after we held our traditional costume contest and raffle!

This event sold out a few weeks in advance and raised more than we've ever raised before!

"Y'all got on this boat for different reasons, but y'all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, TEN? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave." - Malcolm Reynolds
